Getting Started
Installation
- Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions
- Launch Game Drop from your Start menu
- On first launch, Game Drop will download FFMPEG to "%appdata%\GameDrop"
Using Game Drop
- Click Load Video to open a video file
- Use the slider to select the portion of the video you want to clip
- (Optional) Set up Discord webhooks by clicking Manage Webhooks
- Click Drop It to create your clip and send it to Discord
- A Local video file will also be created in the same location as the source video.
Setting Up Discord Webhooks
- In your Discord server, go to Server Settings > Integrations > Webhooks
- Click New Webhook, give it a name, like "Game Clips", and select the channel
- Copy the webhook URL
- In Game Drop, click Manage Webhooks, then Add Webhook
- Enter a name and paste the webhook URL
System Requirements
- Windows 10 or later
- 4GB RAM (8GB recommended)
- Video card that supports H.264 encoding (for best performance)
- Internet connection for Discord uploads
Troubleshooting
- FFmpeg Missing: Game Drop will automatically download FFmpeg on first run
- Video Won't Load: Ensure your video is in a supported format (MP4, AVI, MKV, MOV)
- Discord Upload Failing: Check your webhook URL and internet connection
- Quality Issues: Try to keep the Optimize for Discord button checked. Quality issues occur for longer videos.
